Students in Grades 1 and 2 have been partnered since nearly the beginning of the year as they gather in the Beit Midrash most mornings for Tefillah. One or two Grade 1 students sit with a Grade 2 student mentor who models tefillah, helping to teach the words and tunes. The older buddies also demonstrate how to find each tefillah in the siddur and how to follow along with the Hebrew words.
