Mishpachot Gather for First Afternoon Activities of the School Year

We were honored to welcome CJDS Grandparent Etty Dolgin, Director of Education at Moadon Kol Chadash, along with her family at today's Kabbalat Shabbat.

On Friday, our 16 mishpachot (families) gathered for their first afternoon activities of the school year to enjoy stations like Art, Sports, Israeli Dancing, and Challah Making. New this year, students also explored the Walder Innovation Lab and Learning Kitchen, among other experiences.

Each student in Kindergarten through Grade 8 belongs to a school mishpacha, led by one or two faculty members, composed of students from every grade. The time spent together each week is a cherished hallmark of our school community, helping to make Shabbat even more meaningful as students connect with new and familiar friends who soon begin to feel like family.
