Mercaz Conference Room Dedicated in Honor of Rabbi Shlomo D. Levine, z"l & Sarah Brull, z"l
  • Campus

We were honored to welcome CJDS Grandparent Etty Dolgin, Director of Education at Moadon Kol Chadash, along with her family at today's Kabbalat Shabbat.

On Monday, we were honored to dedicate the Mercaz Conference Room, made possible through the generosity of Past President Anat Geva, Josh, Avital ('18), and Toren Strauss ('20). The room is dedicated “in honor of educators – past, present, and those nurturing the future of our Jewish community,” and in memory of two beloved Jewish educators from the Geva-Strauss family: Anat’s grandmother, Sarah Brull z"l, and Josh’s stepfather, Rabbi Shlomo D. Levine, z"l. We were especially touched by the presence of Rabbi Levine’s wife, Annabelle, at the ceremony.

In their remarks, Josh and Anat reflected on CJDS’s profound impact on their family, describing their experience as “relational, spiritual, and deeply human… CJDS fosters not only educated students, but a thoughtful, connected, and caring community.”

We are deeply grateful to Josh, Anat, Avital, and Toren for this meaningful gift. Their closing words express their heartfelt commitment to CJDS and the Jewish people:

“We dedicate this room in honor of educators who have shaped our children, our families, and our future. May it be a space where teachers are supported, inspired, and celebrated. May it reflect the sacred role they play – not only in the lives of students, but in the life of the community. And may we continue walking this path together – guided by the values we teach, the love we share, and the vision we hold for a vibrant Jewish future.”

We are deeply grateful to Josh, Anat, Avital, and Toren for this meaningful gift. Their closing words express their heartfelt commitment to CJDS and the Jewish people.

Please contact Director of Institutional Advancement Rich Moline if you would like to discuss the possibility of dedicating a space on our campus.
