Kol hakavod to three members of the CJDS community for volunteering in Israel this week through the Jewish National Fund - USA. Board President Iris Gafni-Kane, her son Arnon Gafni-Kane (CJDS ‘19), and CJDS Parent Assaf Grumberg are a part of a large group that is making an impact from the South to the North of Israel. The volunteers have been engaged in a wide range of opportunities, such as picking 15 tons of oranges and hundreds of pounds of clementines, visiting Noor Restaurant נור מסעדה דרוזית גלילית to prepare hundreds of lunches for IDF soldiers, and packaging goodie bags for wounded soldiers and frontline workers. The group had a meaningful visit to Rambam Hospital in Haifa where they visited wounded soldiers and other patients. Some members of the group had the chance to visit Hostage Square and meet with families and others met with survivors of the Nova Festival massacre. We are proud of all of these volunteers for providing care, love, and support to Israel during this time and for demonstrating that we are all one family. JNF Missions leave weekly from now until May. Visit their website for more information.
