Wednesday was an incredible first day of the 2023-24 school year. Our hallways were filled once again with the smiles and ruach (spirit) of students, faculty, and staff. Everywhere you looked, people were hugging and high fiving each other and the distinctive warmth of CJDS was especially palpable. 

This year's theme is עולם חסד יבנה/Olam Chesed Yibaneh, the world will be built on loving kindness. This quote from the book of Psalms speaks to our ability as human beings to help build the world through acts of loving kindness to our friends, classmates, and community members. This week, as CJDS students returned to campus, teachers introduced the theme and discussions about chesed (loving kindness) began. It's going to be another great year and we can't wait to share it all with you!
