This year's theme is עולם חסד יבנה/Olam Chesed Yibaneh, the world will be built on loving kindness. This quote from the book of Psalms speaks to our ability as human beings to help build the world through acts of loving kindness to our friends, classmates, and community members. As CJDS students returned to campus, teachers introduced the theme and discussions about chesed (loving kindness) began.

Kindergarten teachers took the opportunity to facilitate a discussion among their students about what this theme means in their lives. They photographed each student holding a beautiful sign with the words "The world is built on loving kindness." Each child's photo will be displayed over their hook outside their classroom.
