Grade 4 Performs Space Play, Vacation on Mars, at Culmination

Grade 4 students chose a space-related topic to learn about and create inquiry questions to guide their research. Students culminate their learning with their families as they performed Vacation on Mars.

Grade 4 students have been immersed in a science inquiry project, choosing a space-related topic to learn about and create inquiry questions to guide their research. In Judaic Studies, students learned about the correlation between the moon and Rosh Chodesh. They summarized their learning and will present their findings to each other next week.

The Space unit covered many different subject areas, including the Earth’s rotation, the different layers of the atmosphere, phases of the moon, and gravity. It also correlated to the play Vacation on Mars, which students have been preparing for the past several weeks. In addition to performing in the play, students created the costumes and set, built props, worked on sound, and translated portions of a song into Hebrew. We are so proud of the our Grade 4 scientists and actors!
