Families Across Chicago and the Suburbs Hop from Sukkah to Sukkah
  • Community
  • Jewish Life

On Tuesday night our Parent Committee pulled off another epic CJDS Sukkah Hop! Thank you to parent organizers, Michelle and Ariel, and all of the host families for welcoming several families into their sukkot. If ever there was a holiday made for Chicago Jewish Day School, it's this one! Our families jump at the chance to make others feel welcome, to learn more about each other, including the commonalities we share and the differences that set us apart. It is considered a mitzvah to welcome ushpizin (guests) into a sukkah, and we couldn't imagine a more welcoming community to fulfill this mitzvah.
