Cross Country:

It was another successful cross country season this year. All of our athletes were able to run more than a mile every day at practice and were always looking to beat their mileage at their next available chance. On rainy days when we were inside we had fun playing games like Capture the Flag, which helps improve our sprinting at the end of races. Our four girls who competed in races at Lane Tech had an incredible season and all broke a nine-minute mile, which was a personal best for all of them. We look forward to next season to improve everyone's times and conditioning.

Flag Football:

This was the first-ever Jewish Day School flag football league run by Chai Athletics and CJDS shined. They went 1-1 in the season and came up short in the playoffs with a strong effort. Being the youngest team on the field, they held their own to show that they may be the favorite to win the championship next year. All of the kids got to play in every game and had a great time with this new team offered at CJDS. We look forward to continuing this league for years to come.
