Investigating Hurricane Harvey

In addition to many activities, students were challenged to come up with their own experiment to test the three variables that would affect the water movement on the ground after it rains. They were able to identify the variables and decide on the controls and needed materials. 
 
Students used Innovative Technology in Science Inquiry simulation to manipulate the variety of landcover and soil to visualize the impact it has on water infiltration and run off after the water collects after the rainfall.
