Bruchim ha’bayim (welcome) to our virtual admissions office!
Thank you for your interest in Chicago Jewish Day School! We are thrilled to provide in-person learning for our students. Smiling faces abound as we welcomed students back to school. Watching our students and educators enter the building and engage in learning feels like nothing short of a miracle.
This year our theme is "Im Ein Ani Li Mi Li, אם אין אני לי מי לי," which translates to: "If I am not for myself, who will be for me? And if I am only for myself, what am I? And if not now, when?” This theme offers our school community a road map for the year. At a time when we must think about how we can keep ourselves and those around us safe, we are reminded that we must also consider how to continue creating a strong sense of warm, caring community during an unbelievably stressful, difficult, and often scary time.
Throughout this pandemic, Chicago Jewish Day School has served as a leader in the educational world, providing innovative and engaging online learning that mimicked being in school. As we return to in-person classes, our innovative thinking is evident in the thoughtful ways we reopened our school and welcomed back students. I can't imagine a more exciting time to be a part of the CJDS community.
