This week, Grade 2 students put their artistic skills to the test while utilizing Freeform to design winter-themed pictures to decorate the third floor hallway. Freeform has taught students technology skill sets that will be transferable to many applications, such as undoing mistakes, importing images or shapes, adjusting pen thickness, exporting the image and airdropping to the teacher, and of course, the fan favorite color wheel to change colors.
Technology partnered with Science this week in Grade 4 to bring forth the exploration of Squishy Circuits! Using conductive and insulating play dough, students worked in groups to learn the difference between parallel and series circuits. Next week, students will be challenged to create and design a functional menorah using either a series or parallel circuit designed by their teams. Stay tuned!
