In Grade 2's Solids and Liquids unit, students explored the properties of each state separately before combining them in a hands-on activity. They were very excited to create sensory bottles by mixing various solids (such as glitter and shapes) with liquids (like water, oil, and glue). This engaging project allowed students to observe how solids and liquids interact, discuss density and separation, and reflect on their relationship. Through this experiment, students deepened their understanding of matter while creating a fun and calming tool.
