This afternoon, Middle School welcomed Rwandan actress and artist Bahari Ruth. Bahali spoke about her journey of healing from despair and hopelessness to the full and joyful life she lives today.

Students learned about the powerful role that her village Agahozo Shalom played in her transformation. Agahozo-Shalom is a youth village founded in response to the orphan crisis following the genocide and is modeled after Yemin Orde, an Israeli youth village established in 1954 to care for orphans of the Holocaust.

Our Middle School was captivated by Bahari’s honest and dynamic personality. She emphasized to them that “You can get through anything.” Thank you, Bahari, and shalom!
