- Middle School
The Middle School was thrilled to welcome IDF soldier, Avi Kolel, to campus on Wednesday. Last year's Grade 7 students sent cards to Avi’s unit while they were stationed in Gaza, so this visit gave them the unique opportunity to meet one of the soldiers they had written to. Avi, who is Middle School Learning Specialist Carrie Weber Greenberg's first cousin, shared his experiences of making Aliyah, serving in the Special Forces unit in the IDF, and working in the field of biomedical engineering. Avi’s visit was truly inspiring and memorable for everyone involved. We are thankful to Avi for taking the time to speak to our Middle School students during his visit to Chicago.
