As Grade 5 prepares for their Age of Exploration culmination next Friday, students enjoyed a special activity this morning as part of this richly integrated unit - for possibly the first time ever, they got to break tools and devices apart! With guidance from their teachers, students got to work disassembling devices such as old keyboards, laptops, cameras, pagers, binoculars, and toys. Each student’s next step will be to invent a modern day tool that their chosen explorer could have benefited from using on their journey. We look forward to learning from the explorers next week in one of our favorite CJDS unit culminations!
