After studying the text about the mysterious and miraculous manna in the Torah, Shira Forester's Grade 5 Judaic Studies students were challenged to create their own recipe to replicate this food. After brainstorming numerous creative ideas, the class selected one recipe to bake together in the food lab, bringing the text to life. Although they had hoped to save some to share, they ended up eating it all - just like the manna in the Torah - because they did not want any leftovers to become rancid and infested with maggots!
