Kindergarten students learned about what a veteran is from their Weekly Reader this week and decided to make cards to send to men and women currently serving in the Armed Forces. Kindergarten parent Captain Scott Friedland, who serves in the Indiana National Army Guard, offered to speak to the Kindergarten class on Wednesday. The students were excited to hear their classmate's father speak about what it means for him to to be a veteran.
