Junior Kindergarten's interest in maps expanded even more this week when they created a map of the Lincoln Park Zoo using various classroom materials. Students were delighted to hear that they'll be taking a field trip to the Lincoln Park Zoo. In preparation, they have been working with real maps of the zoo in order to plan our trip, including thinking about what they might see, and what they might want to learn. A few of the students decided to gather information from the school community and ventured around the building to ask faculty and staff members if they had been to the zoo, and if so, what animals they saw.
