Middle School Teacher Alex Randhava's Grade 7 students are gaining an understanding of waves, and they built a device this week that lets them see the sound. By attaching a laser to a vibrating object and projecting it 150 feet down the hall onto an XY axis, they can measure the frequency and amplitude of vibrations. Students will continue to use this device to understand how waves move differently through different types of matter.
