Cooking up Hanukkah Tradition and Cultural Learning in Hamitbach

Now that HaMitbach (the kitchen) in the newly renovated Mozart building is fully operational, students and teachers from all grades have been cooking Hanukkah favorites and other fried foods that tie into their current unit of learning. Just this week, Grade 8 students made falafel, Grade 7 students prepared latkes, and Grade 3 students created fry bread as part of their Indigenous Peoples unit. A big thank you to Food Lab Coordinator Paulette HerbstmanShinshinim Yaheli and Gilad, and all the teachers who prepared and facilitated these activities while enthusiastically participating in the cooking process!
