Grade 7 Science Students Test the Force of Air in Exciting Wind Tunnel Experiment
  • Middle School
  • Science

Students in Alex Randhava's Grade 7 Science classes are learning that air is a form of matter and possesses mass and velocity. They began by building items that can capture air to lift objects, focusing on mass and area as key factors. Currently, the leading object spins at 700 RPM. In this experiment, angles, balance, and force vectors proved to be the most critical elements, with mass becoming less significant. Lastly, students were challenged to design a wing that generates lift in a wind tunnel. As they improved their objects, excitement grew along with the progress!
