In Kate Schulte's Grade 7 math class, students designed and conducted experiments to compare competing brands of various products. They were then tasked with presenting their results through graphs and analyses.

Some of the projects included: comparing soda brands to determine which one had the most vigorous chemical reaction with Mentos; analyzing three MLB model baseball gloves to see if there was a correlation between glove choice and the number of errors made per game; investigating whether there was a relationship between MLB batters' swing speed and their on-base percentage; and surveying classmates to compare body washes based on scent, unit cost, and cleaning efficacy.
