Grade 4 Judaic Studies Students Create Paper Mache Shofarot

Over the past several weeks, Grade 4 students in Judaic Studies Teacher Suzanne Caster's class have been considering the role and significance of the shofar for Rosh Hashanah. In havruta/partnered learning, students analyzed Mishna Rosh Hashanah 3:7 and discussed how they can focus their hearts to hear the shofar. Students explored the connection between the Akedah/ Binding of Isaac and Rosh Hashanah and concluded with the students creating their own paper mache shofarot.
