In Grade 2 Hebrew and Judaic Studies students learned about five different trees: The Date Palm tree, The Fig Tree, The Grapevine, (three of the Shivat Haminim) The Cherry Tree, and The Orange Tree. They read sifronim, small books, about each tree, learning about shape, size, where it grows, its fruit, and the color and shapes of the leaves. They then worked in Havruta where four to five students worked to do additional research on the trees. Each student is working on creating their book, and they will be able to present their work at the Grade 2 Tu Bishvat Seder next week!
