This week, Grade 1 students partnered up for a vertical learning experience where they sorted a variety of cards showing natural and human-made structures and objects.  Students then compared and contrasted the different ways each group categorized their items and observed that there’s more than one “right” way to think about the world around them. Blending literacy with social studies, students also developed collaborative and problem-solving skills through this engaging, interdisciplinary activity.
