Grade 1 students proudly shared the results of weeks of learning and writing as they became “experts” on topics of their choice, from football to school lockers and fire alarms. After researching and crafting their own teaching books, students worked to explain what they had learned in clear, engaging ways.

Once they completed their stories, Grade 1 authors invited Grade 7 students to their classrooms to share their newfound expertise. It was a sweet opportunity for students to build confidence, celebrate learning, and share what they know with others.
