Grade 5 students have been studying the early English Settlements by examining Roanoke, Jamestown, and Plymouth. They learned about how the settlers lived, their jobs, and the difficulties they faced. This project encouraged students to imagine life in the 17th century and design their own settlements. Using their research, they constructed models of their settlements using various materials. Overall, this project improved their understanding and helped them appreciate the resilience and creativity that influenced America's early history.
