Math Teacher Kate Burstein is especially skilled at finding creative outlets for her students to connect to math curriculum. Before Winter Break, students worked in groups to create a mini-project in which they re-wrote song lyrics to capture their recent learning about systems of linear equations and inequalities. Students had a blast collaborating and applying their understandings in a different format and, of course, performing their songs for each other. It's very possible that a successful math and/or rapping future awaits them!
