JK students' imaginations over the past couple of weeks have sparked incredible ideas and learning as they delved into a study of maps. What began last week in JK with an interest in "treasure maps" led to the creation of a map of the playground. This week, interest has expanded and students discussed how they can get to each other's houses, resulting in a "JK Town" map now hanging in one of the JK classrooms. Students also became more fascinated with globes and how they can locate their state and city within a globe. This study will continue in January as we welcome the students back and hear about all their real and imaginative travels, sparking so many more places to find on our maps and globes!
