Winning CJDS Album Name Announced and it ROCKS!
  • Jewish Campus Life

Throughout the year, Jewish Music Specialist Todd Kessler worked closely with students across all grades to learn and sing beautiful Hebrew songs as part of a school-wide music journey. As a culminating project, each grade recorded a professional version of one song, and the entire school came together to record one track.

We’re thrilled to share the final product—our very own CJDS album, which will be available on Spotify soon!

This incredible project was made possible thanks to the generous donation from Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, as well as the contributions of Technology/Maker Space Specialist David Thielen's piano and drumming, and Todd's guitar accompaniment.

Students were invited to submit names for the album, and after reviewing so many creative and thoughtful ideas, the official album name is "CJDS Rocks -- Shirim LaShalom."

This name is a special combination of three winning submissions:

  • First place: "CJDS Rocks" by Amit R. (Grade 2)

  • Second place:
    • "Road to Shalom" by Sidney S. (Grade 6 )
    • "Shirim LaAhavah" by Grade 4 student

Mazel Tov to our winners and to every student who participated in the production of our first CJDS album, which will be released over the summer. Stay tuned!
