In their different, age-appropriate ways, our students have been learning about the significance of the attacks on Israel and the resulting war. Early childhood students are focusing on the feeling of sadness as our hearts are in Israel. They are looking for ways to connect with the people of Israel during this very hard time and decided to create Israeli flags, both large and small. While sewing with blue and white thread, a group of Kindergarten students and their teachers came up with a plan to make bracelets in Israel using the same type of thread.
In Judaic Studies classes, students have been writing incredibly thoughtful letters to soldiers, including to former CJDS shinshinim, that will be mailed to Israel this week.
All grades have been uniting in prayer together and through other artistic outlets like Music with our Music Specialist Leah Cowen.
The supportive, loving energy on campus this week is unmistakable. We would expect nothing less from the amazing CJDS community.
