Sari was born in Deerfield, Illinois, and received her teaching certification from the University of Colorado-Boulder, where she spent her free time snowboarding. Prior to coming to Chicago Jewish Day School, Sari taught Kindergarten in Skokie at the Jane Stenson School and Junior Kindergarten at Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School.
