Judy Finkelstein-Taff
Judy has over 25 years of experience in education, including early childhood, elementary and informal education. Prior to coming to CJDS, she completed a year long Fellowship in the Senior Educator Program at the Melton Centre for Jewish Education at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Judy served for many years as the Director of Judaic Studies at the Abraham Joshua Heschel Day School in Northridge, California where she was responsible for the supervision, organization, creativity and direction of the Judaic Studies Program for Transitional Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. In addition, Judy spent many summers at Camp Ramah in Ojai, California serving in administrative capacities from Division Head to Assistant Director.
Judy earned a Master of Arts in Jewish Education from the College of Jewish Studies in Rockville Maryland, and a Master of Arts in Education and Human Development from George Washington University. She earned her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Arizona State University and holds teaching credentials in both Early Childhood and Elementary Education. Judy is very proud of her three sons, Avi, Ari and Josh, all of whom are products of Jewish day schools.
