Parent Committee
The CJDS parent committee is involved in supporting the entire CJDS school community, from welcoming new families at the beginning of the year, to its “Parents Nights Out” events to coordinating opportunities for families to do social action activities together. It’s Chesed (kindness) Committee provides a support for families in times of sorrow and times of joy, arranging for meals, playdates, carpools and other assistance. Fundraising activities include the Rosh HaShannah honey sale, Jewel/Osco scrip days, selling books for Hanukkah, and selling Hamentaschen on Purim. Finally, the Parent Committee thanks our teachers and staff through the Staff Appreciation Breakfast and coordinating holiday and end-of-year gifts from all of our families.
