Celebrations
Celebration is an important part of the CJDS curriculum. Each week CJDS gathers together to welcome Shabbat, along with a special guest from the wider community who tells a story, sings a song or teaches something related to the parasha (Torah portion of the week). Parents, siblings and other guests are invited to join us for these celebrations, as well as the special programs for each of the Jewish holidays. Important days from the greater American community such as Thanksgiving, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Birthday and Earth Day are also highlighted through special school events and programs.
